Last night, prompted by family and a free ticket, I decided to visit Chicago. I packed a bag after work, ate dinner with my family and we all headed to the station. As I was running around my swagger wagon, leaning in to give kisses to all my boys, I grabbed one last thing. Well, two.
I didn’t take the waterbottle rolling around on the floor. I didn’t take my planner or the extra pen. No, there is not a chance those items will be useful to me. But if I decide to grab a cocktail with my brother tonight, the heels will be vital.
I think its funny that among the band-aids, diapers and wipes I keep in the car just in case, there are spare earrings, blank note cards and a pair of black and gold stilletos.
Emergency preparedness at its very finest.
Love from Thruway Bus 5555,
P.S. I am poking a little fun at myself. :)
